American and European chimney sweep leaders discovered the latest chimney sweeping equipment in Chicago USA at the 2025 ESCHFOE Congress at the Hilton Chicago.

ESCHFOE, which stands for the European Federation of Master Chimney Sweeps, is a professional umbrella organization founded in 1954 that represents national chimney sweep associations throughout Europe and North America.

ESCHFOE works to promote cooperation, professional development and the exchange of best practices among chimney sweeps across the continent. Its broader goals include promoting fire safety, energy efficiency and environmental protection.

The organization aims to establish uniform, pan-European standards for the profession, which raises the profile of chimney sweeps and ensures a high level of service.

Adam Pedersen, Rodstation director, flew across the Atlantic from London Heathrow to help set-up and man the stand. Adam said: “The event was a huge success with chimney sweeps leaders attending from across America and Europe for 4 days of seminars and activities. One day included an interesting excursion to Lindemann Chimney’s HQ at Lake Buff Illinois where we all caught up with Russ Dimmit and Rob Lindemann who provided a tour of the premises and gave presentations throughout the day.
